Hello, readers! Welcome to my first haul post this year, haha. For the past couple of months *including last year, I have made several purchases that I'd like to share with you. As usual, I'll include my thoughts on those products that I have already used :) Lez go? :) Beauty Moment by Jacky and Lauren's Matte Lipgloss Set in Very Bold- Php 289 I got this set December last year from Robinsons Cebu. I think these were only sold during the Holiday Season, I have yet to visit Robinsons Department Store to see if they still have these on display. By the way, I wrote my mini review of these babies on my socials so feel free to check out my IG and Facebook :) Lovia Premium Hair Colour Cream in Dark Brown- Php 99 For only Php 99, this box already has all the things you need when coloring your own hair. Aside from the coloring cream and developer, you will also get to have your own mixing tray, combo brush applicator, gloves, shower cap, and conditioner. It's such a steal especially that it does work well. The only downside is, instead of giving my hair a dark brown shade, it made my hair black :) See my before and after pic below: Fanbo Retractable Matte Crayon in #8- Php 99 I actually love the shade of this lip crayon but I just can't tolerate it's scent. It has this strong makeup "plastic-y" scent which lingers even minutes after application. So if you're too sensitive with makeup scents, this isn't for you. Should you ask, I got this from Metro Colon Department Store. Ashley Shine 212 VIP Mascara- Php 49 I only tried this once and I found it too liquidy and heavy that it weighs down my curled lashes. I'll try to use this again some time soon and I'll just update this blog post :) Ashley Shine Blusher in #3- Php 69 This has been my go to blush for the past few days since this shade is just perfect for Summer. I thought in the beginning that this has subtle shimmers which I don't mind, but as soon as I used it, I realized that the shimmers were just on top of the product. By the way, this has a second compartment where you'll find a surprisingly soft blush brush :) Nichido Actibrow Tri-Tip Eyebrow Marker- Php 119 (original price 238) Bought this tri-tip eyebrow marker out of curiosity when I saw this on Anne Clutz's haul video on YouTube. I already made a review of this very interesting Nichido tri-tip eyebrow marker here :) Eb Advance Lip and Cheek Stain in Very Red- Php 150 each Mama actually bought these for us :) I have been seeing this product being raved by a lot of makeup enthusiasts but I never picked one for myself. Now that I have it, I can say that this gives me that natural flush on my cheeks and natural tint on my lips :) Eb Advance BB Compact Powder in Matte Oriental- Php 250 This is another Ever Bilena product that has been raved about. Unfortunately, this isn't for me but for mama :) haha. I tried to swatch it and I love its buttery texture. Will try to use this on myself soon :) Mama loves this, by the way. San San HD Foundation in Beige- Php 205 For the longest time, I have been using my Ever Bilena BB Cream in Oriental for my base. I figured, it's time to get myself again a foundation and I chose this affordable HD liquid foundation from San San. Coverage wise, I'd say this can give you medium to full. Just make sure to apply a thin layer at a time and blend it really well as this has the tendency to cake. Oh, and don't forget to exfoliate and moisturize beforehand since this also accentuates dry patches. Franzie Magic Powder Oil Control in Cool Blue- Php 15 or Php 18 Sorry, I really can't remember this powder's exact price. I got this from Gaisano South Grocery Store while I was in the hunt of that IG famous Zale Beauty Powder. The "oil control" claim is very interesting to see from a regular baby powder so I bought one to try. I already used this a couple of times and I must say that it really does help in keeping my oiliness at bay. It's texture is somehow similar to a cornstarch or fissan powder which can be the reason why it can control oil. It also has this very pleasant smell which justifies the "mmmm ang bango" sticker :) haha. Until now, however, I do not understand why it's called "magic" powder. Vitress Hair Polish Long Lasting Fragrance- Php 30+ I remember using this back in college and I just want to try using it again :) Ah! the smell is very nostalgic :) This is actually perfect to use on those days when your hair seems to be very dry even if you already used a conditioner. Purple Eyelash Curler- Php 89 Got this from Metro Colon Department Store because... ahmmm... it's purple? :) haha. It looks blue on the picture but trust me, it's purple. Anyway, I liked how this curled my lashes really well on my first few use until it started to feel like its grip is already loose and can no longer give my lashes a firm curl. You girls already know what I mean, right? :) Now let's move on to the "gifts" I received straight from Manila. Thank you, Gio! :) FS Primer- Php 399 I haven't tried any face primer aside from the Quick FX No Shine Mattifier which actually works well in giving me a smooth canvass. So, I decided to get my hands on this FS primer which I have yet to test. I will surely be posting a review on this soon so stay tuned :) Watsons Collagen Toner- Php 279 It's my first time to experience a legit moisturized face after using a toner so this one's an instant favorite. I love how it hydrates my skin that I don't feel the need to use a separate moisturizer after toning. This also made my skin very supple even after first use plus, it did not break me out. So yah, what more can I ask for? :) Essence All About Matt Fixing Powder- Php 299 Finally! it took me years to hunt this "always out of stock" essence all about matt fixing powder and the wait was all worth it. The good reviews I've watched and read about this product are all true. In fact, this is now my holy grail powder. I love how this powder tames those visible dry patches and makes my base look a lot smoother. It's just sad that I accidentally dropped it a few days ago and the powder is now cracked tsssssss #sadlife. KJM Liptint in Dolled- Php 140 A lot of lip and cheek tint products have been introduced in the market for the past couple of months and KJM is one of the first few tints that has been placed on the spotlight. Gio got this from prettyangelshoppe's kiosk in Trinoma. Do I like this? well, this has been my go to lip tint on those days when I'm too lazy to glam up :) Also, it's true that this tint is long lasting. L.A Colors Pout Lipgloss Matte in Delectable- Php 149 I discovered this product from Moe of lipsticksandmoe on IG. I've used this once and I'm planning to use it again to see if there's a difference from the first time I wore it. I will be posting my review on this next week so, alam na :) Eb Advance LTD Liquid Lipstick in Cashmere Blush- Php 180 Haven't tried this yet but I already swatched it at the back of my hand and it has an almost similar consistency with NYX soft matte lip cream. As practiced, I will just update this post once I already have thoughts for this Eb Advance LTD Liquid Lipstick :) Daiso Makeup Sponges- Php 88 each Ahmmm.. pardon the purple sponge if it's dirty. Since it's purple, I decided to use it first :) This Daiso sponge grows so big when wet. It is soft and bouncy but I noticed that it absorbs a little too much of my liquid foundation which leads me to use more product. Not very economical, right? :) Mumuso 92% Aloe Vera Gel- Php 99 When YouTuber's started posting their Mumuso Haul videos, I got envious. Like seriously, I did. There's just a lot of good and affordable stuff in that store and unfortunately, Mumuso did not reach Cebu yet. Thanks to Gio for getting me this Aloe Vera Gel that I badly want to have. I haven't tried the very famous Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel so I can't do a comparison of them yet. BUT, I already bought the latter and will be receiving it days from now :) Let's have a battle of Aloe Vera Gel soon :) The next things you'll see are the stuff I bought for the past 2 weeks :) iWhite 2 Minute Miracle Mask- Php 24.50 If you've been following my blog for quite some time now, there's no need for me to reiterate how much I love this product :) Quick FX No Shine Mattifier- Php 99 each It's the Summer Season here in the Philippines and if you're looking for a mattifying primer that will somehow help keep your makeup in place, go for this Quick FX Mattifier :) L.A Girl PRO. Coverage HD Foundation in Warm Beige and White- Php 400 each Got both of these from Chedelyn's Cosmetics store in APM Mall here in Cebu. Review of these will surely be up on my blog after I road test these babies :) Himalaya Gentle Exfoliating Daily Face Wash 50ml- Php 84 each Though this has exfoliating beads, this Himalaya Face Wash leaves my skin well moisturized and smooth after use. This doesn't lather like the other facial wash I've tried but I feel that it still thoroughly cleanses my face and my pores :) Himalaya Exfoliating 100 ml- Php 89 (originally priced @178) Purifying Neem Face Wash 50ml- Php 44.50 each (originally priced @89) Now since I love the different variants of Himalaya facial wash, I got so excited when I saw them on 50% sale last week during the 3-day sale of SM City Cebu, the same day when my mama and I watched Beauty and the Beast. By the way, if you haven't watched Beauty and the Beast yet, I recommend that you watch it on big screen to appreciate it's musicality and the effort Disney put into it :) haha di halatang fan eh noh? A Bonne and Yoko Spa Milk Salt- Php 80 and Php 80+ (unsure) I have always trusted A Bonne Spa Milk Salt in making my skin smooth and soft. I just picked up the Yoko Milk Salt for the sake of trying. After using the Yoko salt twice, I'd like to say that I'm not a fan of its scent that smells like a spoiled milk. Also, its zip lock doesn't work (-_-) On the other hand, it still made my skin smooth after use, but unlike the A Bonne Spa Milk salt that leaves my skin smooth for a couple of days, the longevity of Yoko's effect is just good for a little more than 24 hrs. iWhite Aqua Moisturizer- Php 179 I love this product, that's it :) Maxi-peel Zero- Php 75 Marian's new advertisement of this maxi-peel zero seems to be very effective since this product is almost always out of stock. Its claim of zero peeling and redness also made this maxi peel variant very interesting. I don't have a plan to use this yet since my facial skin is acting up lately and I don't want to give my skin more reason to act like a spoiled brat :) Hortaleza M.D. Dermatox Eye Cream- Php 199 Saw this at HBC last Thursday. This is like an upgraded version of their HBC Body Recipe Eye Cream since this has anti aging properties. It promises to reduce fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles which are all present on my under eye area. Mine's not even fine lines but deep lines. That being said, I badly need a product that can help me with all these issues. I've used this twice now and will let you know if this worked for me :) Schick Exacta 2 Sensitive- Php 45 Lucky are those girls who don't need a razor for their legs and I'm not one of them, haha :) I have been using the blue variant of this schick razor and I liked that better than this green one. The blue variant really gives me that smooth clean shave that I did not achieve from this green "sensitive" variant. PH Care Vzone and Watsons Ladies Bikini Razor- Php 99 and Php 79 Apologies if you find this TMI, but duuuuh, ladies need to learn how to be more hygienic down there and shaving and/or trimming is one of the things you need to do to maintain good hygiene. It's my first time to try this kind of razor so I decided to get 2 brands to try. Will let you know what works between the Php99 and the Php79 bikini razor. HBC Powder Puff- Php 18.50 I need this in setting my make up with powder, especially if I do the baking method or jamsu technique :) Sanicare Wipes- 80 sheets (Php 80+) 15 sheets (I forgot)
Unifresh Baby Wipes- Php 35 Watsons Facial Tissue- Php 49 Do I even need to explain why I got these? :) Anyway, my daily wet wipes is the one from Unifresh which I get from Unitop store here in Cebu. It's very affordable and has good quality wipes. Sanicare on the other hand, is what I normally use on my face to either remove my makeup or just simply freshen up. Till my next post! -JEN- |
