So it's June and the long vacation is over :) I bet most of the students out there feel sad yet excited at the same time. When I was still on my younger years in school, I normally would feel sad and lazy thinking that it's school time again and I would have to say good bye to my late sleeping and waking up time. On the other hand, I also feel excited as I would get to see my friends and classmates again! :) Some of my friends are even more excited because they would see their crush/es again (talk about teenage life) :)
So ladies, since it's your first day back in school, I know that you would surely want to look and feel good, right? To help you out, let me share a VERY BUDGET FRIENDLY Makeup Look appropriate for school :)
Products used for this look. Most of these were featured on my recent Makeup and Skin Care Haul.
To start, we need to prep our skin with a moisturizer and a sunscreen. It's best to take good care of your skin as early as your teen years. Remember, prevention is better than cure :)
iWhite Korea Moisturizer- A tube costs Php 199 while a sachet costs Php 20.
Quick FX Sunblock Cream- Php 99 I used my all time favorite iWhite Korea Moisturizer to hydrate my skin and the Quick FX Sunblock Cream to protect my skin from the harmful rays of the sun.
Here's how I looked like after the moisturizer and Sunblock Cream. Yes, I do have a lot of blemishes and a fresh huge pimple mark on my upper left cheek but that's okay :)
iWhite Korea BB Cream in Light- Php 25
For my base, I used this new and very affordable BB cream from iWhite Korea. By the way, this was the first time I used this BB cream and I like that it feels lightweight and provides light coverage perfect for everyday use. It does feel a bit sticky, though but a little bit of powder would surely solve this issue.
As for the application, I dotted the BB cream on my face and blended it evenly using my fingers. Sorry for that messy hair :)
Lewis and Pearl Baby Powder- Php 20
You can never go wrong with baby powder :) I used this Lewis and Pearl Baby Powder with a big fluffy brush to set my BB Cream since it looks a little dewy for my liking. By the way, let me just share this to you, friends. I noticed that whenever I use a baby powder to set my foundation/BB cream, it takes longer than usual before my face starts to oil up. Therefore, I can say that a regular baby powder is good in keeping oiliness at bay :)
With one layer of iWhite Korea BB Cream VS. BB Cream set with baby powder
Aido brow pencil- Php 45
To outline and fill in my brows, I used this very affordable brow pencil from Aido. This isn't the first time I used this product and I can say that for the price, it's already a decent brow pencil :) In case you want to know how I do my brows, you may check it here :)
Outlined and filled in brows using the Aido pencil
Careline Blush in Pinkish Blush- Php 80 plus
For the blush, I decided to use my old but still good blush from Careline. When you're a teen, pinkish cheeks seem to always look good :) To apply this blush, you may either use the sponge that it came with or a powder brush. Yes, this blush has a sponge but I already lost mine. Just be careful when using the sponge and make sure to apply a little at a time. Don't forget to blend as well :)
I already hit pan and I would surely buy a new one :)
This chubby fluffy brush right here is the same brush that I used in dusting the baby powder on my face.
San San Lash Curler- Php 50
Aido Mascara- Php 50 After achieving that naturally pink cheeks, we now need to make our eyes look more pretty :)
My current favorite combo. You would know why below :)
Look at those lashes :) Check my review on this Aido mascara to know more about this affordable baby :) .
Shawill Lip Pencil in #2- Php 55
While you're young and still a school girl, you may want to stick to a makeup look that would make you look simple and fresh. So for this look, I chose to have a muted pink lips by applying this Shawill Lip Pencil in shade #2. If you would want to know more of my thoughts for this lip liner, you may go ahead and check my review here.
Isn't that shade perfect for school? :)
Lastly, you just need to fix your hair and you're ready to go to school! Me? I'm ready to run some errands :) I just decided to wear a head band with a ribbon and changed my top to white para mag mukhang estudyante lang :)
Say "hi" to my props! haha
Now on to that ultimate pa- teen and pa-cute look :) Hayaan nyo na :)
By the way, I know my blemishes aren't perfectly covered but that's fine, since an everyday full coverage makeup in school is not ideal :)
Enjoy school and remember, "It's okay to commit mistakes, that's the way we learn" :)
