DIY Ice Cream: Pinoy Style Coffee Cookies and Cream Flavor W/OUT An Ice Cream MakerHello there! Welcome back to my blog :) If you haven't known yet, I don't only watch vlogs and beauty videos on YouTube but also dessert related videos. Since ice cream is one of my favorites, I have searched and watched loads of Home Made Ice cream videos. Some tutorials are a little complicated as they require an ice cream maker plus a lot of ingredients and procedures to be followed. Luckily, there were also quite a number of tutorials which only require less machine, effort, and ingredients. Today, let me share to you my FIRST ATTEMPT of making a Coffee Cookies and Cream Ice Cream! :) To Make This Home Made Ice Cream, we will need the following: 1. Hand Mixer or Whisk if you have the time, patience, and strength :) 2. 3 Packs of Nestle All Purpose Cream 3. 1 Can of Condensed Milk 4. 10 Packs of Cream-O (Vanilla Flavor) 5. 1 Sachet of any 3 in 1 Coffee (Forgot to include it in the pic above, sorry) 6. 1 Airtight Container Before we begin, make sure to refrigerate your Nestle All Purpose Cream and condensed milk to achieve a thicker and creamier consistency when whisking. Also, make sure that you have already prepared your Cream- O Cookies. For this recipe, I finely crushed 5 packs of cookies while the other 5 are just semi crushed. For the latter, I just pinched/cracked the cookies while they're still in their pack. As mentioned above, I forgot to include the coffee on the ingredients shown on the very first image of this post. Anyhow, I used a Nescafe Creamy Latte to add more flavor for my ice cream :) I only used half of what's inside the sachet with just a little amount of hot water as shown in the image below. After preparing the coffee, I set it aside to cool. To start, pour your 3 packs of Nestle All Purpose Cream in a bowl and whisk. On my end, I initially used a medium sized pan. I never thought I will be needing a bigger one :) Continue to whisk the cream until its volume doubles and you'll see soft peaks when you pull out your hand mixer. Next, add on your condensed milk and whisk it again for a few seconds until both ingredients are well incorporated through. As you can see, I already transferred the whip cream into a slightly bigger bowl but you'll see later on that I had to transfer it again into a much bigger container :) After carefully mixing the condensed milk and whip cream, you may now add the crushed Cream-O cookies and just mixed it using a spoon or a spatula. I told you, I had to transfer the mixture AGAIN for the LAST TIME to a much bigger container. Perks of being a "first timer" haha :) Continue mixing the crushed Cream-O cookies until your mixture would look like this :) After that, add the semi crushed Cream-O cookies and mix again :) You may skip this if you are not fond of biting huge chunks of cookies in your ice cream. Look at that cookie madness! :) We are almost done! :) just go ahead and pour the coffee that we initially prepared on to the mixture and mix well. Once everything is mixed, transfer the mixture into your airtight container and let it stay in the freezer for 8 hrs. or overnight. I chose to do the latter to make sure that the ice cream really sets. This may be a Quick and Easy recipe but you may find it very difficult to wait over night before you could take a bite of this already looking good ice cream mixture so, GOOD LUCK! haha :) The next day, here's how my home made ice cream greeted me :) That texture and consistency though (^-^) This ice cream looks and tastes legit! :) I loved how the coffee intensified the flavor of my Home Made Ice Cream and the best part is, my family loved it as well! :) I got a thumbs up from them and that's the most important thing haha. Look at that ice cream I just made :) Isn't it beautiful? haha pasensya na.. Proud lang talaga ako sa nagawa ko :) For Php 221.75 I managed to make a delicious Pinoy Style Home Made Ice Cream. I'm unsure though as to how many liters of Ice Cream I was able to make but just base it on the image of the container I used. Perhaps this recipe can make 1 to 1.5 liters of ice cream. That's it guys, I hope you enjoyed this affordable and easy DIY Coffee Cookies and Cream Ice Cream :) If you plan to try this out, it would make me happy if you tag me a picture of your finish product on my IG @purplecanine or FB :)
