When I visited Manila last month, my home was Haeinsa Condotel in Quezon City. My recent stay wasn't the first time I stayed in this condotel as I was already here last year of July. I had a great stay in Haeinsa so I chose to stay here again. This for me is a budget friendly condotel and its location is accessible to all major places in the metro. LOCATION Haeinsa Condotel is located at 23 Makisig St. Brgy. Pinyahan, Diliman Quezon City. See map below for your reference. It's just behind Jac Liner bus station and very near GMA Kamuning. MY RECENT STAY EXPERIENCE I have to be very honest that I had a bad start during my recent stay here. I have reserved a room I believe more than a week before my check in date and even did a ff up days before my arrival to ensure everything's okay. I was scheduled to arrive in Haeinsa at around 3:00 to 3:30 am. Unfortunately, my flight was extremely delayed and when I arrived at past 4:00 am, the reserved room showed to me by the security guard has a non functioning AC. I asked why was I endorsed to that room. I was thinking maybe because I arrived late? Unfortunately, I did not get a definite and comprehensive answer. Though the security guard and the staff who entertained me on my arrival were polite, I did not hear a single apology from them. I had no choice but to sleep in that only available room as I was very tired having been awake for almost 24 hrs. With an electric fan, I shut my eyes and slept. I was then transferred to a new room at 12 noon. As courtesy perhaps, I'm glad they did not ask me to pay for the hours I spent in the non air-conditioned room. THE REST OF MY STAY HOWEVER WAS GOOD. ROOM RATES These rates are the most recent one. I got this flyer from their reception area. These rates were also posted on their Facebook page. MY ROOM (Standard Room for Php 1100) This room type accommodates 1 to 2 guests. I like that it has a a side table plus two extra comfortable chairs for me to either eat my meals or do some "office stuff". The room in general is clean and smells clean; plus, AC is working pretty well :) Entrance- Upon entrance, your bed will automatically greet you. I'm not really a fan of this kind of set-up because I just feel very uncomfortable with the idea of people or hotel staff directly seeing my bed in any case I have to do business with them. I don't know about you but that's just me :) Bed- The bed itself is okay. I had comfortable sleep during my entire stay here. Basic Toiletries- Look at that fancy little bottle which contains the shampoo/conditioner. Isn't that cute? :) Side Bed Table and Chair- I ate all my meals here :) Artificial plant to put more life on the plain, round, black table :) You get to have your own bedroom slipper as well :) TV and mini closet :) Their TV by the way has a USB port so if you have a USB full of movies, consider bringing them with you and enjoy a movie marathon :) Another artificial and colorful flower to add more life on the TV area :) Huge Closet Toilet and Bath room- Nothing special. I can just say it was properly maintained. HAEINSA CONDOTEL IMAGES Haeinsa Condotel from the outside Entrance Tamarind Grill- their own mini restaurant or cafeteria Food Menu My regular breakfast, TOCILOG :) I actually got addicted to their Tocilog haha. I tried most of their "silog" meals and they were good except for the "Daingsilog"- for me it was overly sour. Reception Area- I must say that ALL the receptionist I have encountered were very accommodating. Thumbs up, Haeinsa! :) Hallway PROS
1. Definitely budget friendly 2. Accessible- Bus stations are very near like JAC, JAM, and Victory Liner. 10 mins walk to MRT station and 5 mins walk to EDSA. 3. Friendly staff 4. The whole condotel looks properly maintained CONS 1. Wifi connection wasn't that strong on the 2nd floor where my room was located :) 2. Some may find the location not secured because it's within residential area and a few "tambays" or by standers can be seen. However on my end, I find these people indifferent. They're cool and all okay :) To know more about Haeinsa Condotel, check out their Facebook page linked below: https://www.facebook.com/Haeinsa-Condotel Till my next hotel review! -JEN- Like my FB page here to be updated on my latest blog posts. |
