There's no doubt that it's officially the Summer Time here in the Philippines, ang init na eh! haha. This season, I believe is the most loved season by most of us Pinoys. Why? well because aside from the fact that Summer means vacation time from school, this also means more time with Mr. Sun in the beach and other summer destinations. Wherever your destination is, this season also calls for an appropriate Summer Makeup look, correct? :)
Let me share to you a Summer Makeup Look which I will personally wear if given the chance :) The goal is to make this look summer friendly, easy, and of course budget friendly. So for this look, we will ALL BE USING LOCAL AND AFFORDABLE COSMETICS as you can see in the image above :)
Let's start with a quick skin care routine. With a clean face, begin with a moisturizer. What I used here is the iWhite Korea Aqua Moisturizer as this provides a cooling sensation; just perfect for summer. This moisturizer is also water based so say bye bye to stickiness! :)
Now, you have to be patient and allow a few minutes for the skin to fully absorb the moisturizer before applying anything on your face. Ideally, you have to wait for 15 mins before make up application. This I learned from beauty bloggers and beauty content creators on YouTube. On my end however, I normally wait for at least a minute or two. I just don't have much time to wait for 15 mins :)
Next is primer. Applying a primer is very essential during this hot summer season to help your makeup last longer. As usual, I used this most affordable yet quality primer I know, Quick FX No Shine Mattifier.
Last but not the least for the skin care routine is Sunblock application. I used this Skin White Advanced Whitening Face Cream Powder in Natural Beige with SPF 12. The SPF count may not be enough but I don't have an existing sunblock cream here so this will do for now :) This cream also served as my makeup base.
Note: Sunblock application is a MUST especially during Summer to fully protect your skin.
We're done with the skin care routine so let's go and proceed to the makeup application :)
I'm one of those ladies who don't want to pack on layers of foundation on the face especially when it's extremely hot. So for this look, I skipped foundation and used a BB Cream instead. What I used here is my loved and trusted BB Cream from Ever Bilena in the shade Oriental. Most makeup enthusiasts know that BB creams don't provide coverage since they are primarily made to enrich our skin with nutrients and vitamins. Normally, BB creams provide light coverage to just even out the skin tone BUT, this BB Cream from Ever Bilena does provide awesome coverage. You've got to trust me on this :) Oh and did I say this has a very yellow undertone? :) To lightly and evenly distribute the product, my clean fingers were tasked to do the job :)
I looked strange, I know :)
To achieve that natural blushing cheeks, I used my SanSan Everyday Cheek Tint which I already made a review on. For the application, I used my e.l.f flat top foundation brush because this does the job in evenly distributing the tint. You may use whatever flat top brush or stippling brush you have :)
To set everything, I used my Nichido Final Powder in Ivory Glow :)
Now moving on to my favorite part- the brows :) Nothing changed on my eyebrow routine so just click here to see how I do my brows using my favorite brow pencil from EB Advance.
Next, let's do a little contouring on the face, nose, and jaw line to achieve that chiselled look itago muna ang kabilugan ng mukha :) I also did highlight the tip of my nose, cupids bow, and the highest points of my cheeks for that glowing look :)
Shawill Perfect Powder in 003 for Contouring
Fanbo Mini Eyeshadow Quad in 02. I used the lightest shade to highlight.
Now let's move on to the eyes. To add depth, I used the same Shawill contouring powder on the crease area using an eyeshadow brush.
Afterwards, I used the same hightlight shadow from Fanbo and applied it on my center lid just using my finger.
To complete the eye look, I curled my lashes using my new favorite lash curler from SanSan. Let me just tell you that this tool really does its job very well :) For the mascara, I used this new product from Careline. I have a review of this affordable mascara here if you want to check it out :)
Last but not the least would be my lips :) Now since it's summer and I want to look young and fresh, I chose to have pink lips and used my Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Off Beat Pink :)
So..... here's the final look! :) Simple and Fresh lang ang peg :)
Here's a Photo Grid for you :)
