I have mentioned several times in this blog that I am such a fan of affordable yet quality products. So for today's post, I will be sharing to you a Makeup look suitable for everyday wear either in school or at work. What's best about this, is we will be using products which won't hurt your tight budget :)
See that transformation? You don't need expensive products to achieve that :)
The first thing we need to do for this look is to apply foundation. Here, I used the Fashion 21 Cake Foundation in shade #6 as it provides good coverage plus it sets matte. Check my review of this foundation here.
It may look too light on me but chillax, it will compliment my skin once it sets :)
Now to conceal those dark spots that the foundation failed to conceal, I used Naturactor Cover Face in shade 151. Yes, this may be a little expensive at Php 425 but you don't need to use this specific concealer for this look.
Whatever concealer you have will be okay since you will only need a bit more coverage to look more flawless. You can even use a little of your liquid or cream foundation to conceal those spots that needed to be concealed. To apply the concealer, you may use a concealer brush, a blending sponge, or your fingers. NOTE: SPOT CONCEAL ONLY. As you can see in the image above, my face looks uneven since I have applied the concealer on certain areas only. Don't forget to blend.
Next are the brows! For this look, I used the Careline Color Pencil in brown which I already made a review on. In that review, you will also see how I do my brows using this Careline pencil.
To complete the simple eye look, you just have to curl your lashes and apply mascara. Here I used the FS Lash Curler and Essence Get Big Lashes for the Mascara.
If you would like to look more awake, just curl your lashes and that will do the trick :)
To brighten up the under eye area, I applied a loose powder using a damp makeup sponge/beauty blender. You may also use a brush or just an ordinary makeup sponge. What's important here is to highlight the under eye area by using a light shade of powder. By the way, the powder I used here is the Nichido Final Powder in Ivory Glow.
For the lips, I just used a pinkish nude lip pencil. If you are aiming for a simple look, nudes and light pink lip colors are the bomb. Here, I used Nichido lip pencil in the shade Rosette.
Lastly, let's add some color to our face to look more fresh and glowing. For this look, I did not do any contouring nor bronzing since I personally think that those aren't necessary for an everyday makeup look.
What I have here is a blush from Careline. This blush has been used and abused that you can no longer see the print on it :) I got the shade Pinkish Blush, perfect for everyday look. Now, we are DONE! just remove the headband and strike a pose :)
There you go. I hope I helped some of the Filipina women out there who are hesitant to use Makeup to beautify themselves. Remember, you can always enhance your beauty without spending a lot of money and effort :)
On the other hand, bear in mind that a beautiful face is nothing if you have the ugliest personality within. -JEN- |
