Quick and Easy Sick Day Makeup Look
Hello awesome readers! :) I'm unsure if it's because of the crazy weather here in Cebu or stress has just taken its toll on me. I've had terrible cough and colds for the past couple of days and even now, I hate that I'm still coughing (-_-) Unfortunately, as much as I want to just lie on bed all day, there are occasions where I still need to look good or presentable even if I'm insanely sick. Thus, this post :)
This makeup tutorial is for the sick so I made sure that there will be no complicated step to achieve that "after" look above. By the way, below are the makeup stuff and tool that I used. I'm sure you guys recognize them, all affordable, aren't they? :)
1. Begin by color correcting. That is, if you have extremely dark circles and visible redness. Me? I needed to brighten up my dark circles and correct the redness on certain areas of my face so I used this green cake foundation from Kokuryu to do the job.
Note: It's way better to use an orange color corrector for dark circles but I don't have one so I just settled for green :)
2. Next, use your favorite BB Cream or Foundation (up to you) to even out your skin tone. On my end, I combined my Ever Bilena BB Cream in Oriental and iWhite BB Holic in Light to get my perfect shade.
I then used a flat top brush for application. Ladies, if you want to achieve better coverage, just do the dabbing method :)
3. Once your BB Cream and/or foundation is blended, time to work on your brows:) Doing my brows is really a must for me not only to frame my face pero para di rin ako mag mukhang alien haha. Remember, #kilayislife :) I do have a separate post on how I do my brows here so just feel free to check it out :)
4. Now to ensure that there will be no creasing and that your base will last for a good amount of time, you need to set it with powder. I decided to first bake my under eye area and the oiliest parts of my face i.e. my nose and forehead and will just set the rest of my face after applying my liquid blush tint.
Have you guys heard of the baking method? Well, let me just tell you that it really does wonders on your canvass :)
5. Moving on, it's inevitable to look pale when we're sick. So to counter that, we need to have that blushed cheeks. For this look, I used San San's Everyday Cheek Tint. By the way, I applied the tint with the same flat top brush that I used for my BB Cream. I just love how this tint provides that natural flushed look :)
6. Now on to our droopy eyes, apply a semi glittery light gold shadow on your entire lid and inner tear duct to brighten up your look. To lessen the hassle, you can just apply the shadow using your finger just like what I did here :)
And to look more awake and fresh, just curl your lashes and apply some mascara.
I used here my favorite San San Lash Curler and applied a generous amount of my Ashley Shine mascara :) Oh! don't forget to apply some on your lower lashes too!
7. Lastly, let's work on our sick pale lips by applying a natural looking tint. I just used the same tint from San San to achieve that pinkish red lips :)
Once you're done, it's time for the final touches :) On my end, I just dusted off the excess powder from my baking, fixed my hair, showed a little skin and voila! :) haha #sicknomorelook
