"May the wing of your eyeliner always be even" that was just a funny quote I saw on Instagram and yes, I would admit that I'm one of those ladies who aren't skilled "yet" to do the perfect winged liner :) Eyeliner application isn't just my thing because my eyes look very over whelming whenever I have a winged liner on. I'm not sure if it's the eyeliner or it's just the way I apply it haha. Haba ng intro eh, noh? :) let's go and proceed to the meat of this post :)
So I bought this Shawill 24 Hr Waterproof Eyeliner pen in Landmark last January when I was in Manila for a workation. This product was even included in my recent Collective Beauty and Scent Haul which you may want to check out as well :) As mentioned above, I'm not an eyeliner lady but as a makeup enthusiast, I want to continue learning the art of makeup and makeup application thus, the purchase of this eyeliner pen :)
PRIZE, WHERE TO GET, AND PACKAGING For Php 99, this Shawill Waterproof Eyeliner Pen will give you 3g of product. Shawill counters are available in most, if not all SM Department Stores, Watsons, and perhaps other leading Department stores. As for the packaging, I like the box/carton that the product came with. Shawill always has good presentation of their products despite its affordable prize range.

Back portion where you will see the Direction for Use as well as the Manufacturing and Expiration Date.
The tip of this eyeliner is a little thick so you better be careful during application as it may give you a very thick line.
SWATCH, CONSISTENCY, AND SCENT
Consistency is okay, just expect the regular consistency of an eyeliner pen. This also dries fairly quick which isn't a bad thing. As for the scent, if you intentionally smell the pen, you would be able to smell a scent of a marker but with a slightly lighter scent.

PERFORMANCE
This particular Shawill Eyeliner claimed to last for 24 hrs, waterproof, and volumizing. I'm unsure though how an eyeliner can be "volumizing". Do you know? Kindly comment below :)
Tested it under a running water from the faucet and no trace of smudging nor melting was observed. Not something to be amazed yet, though.
After the faucet test, I did rub off the product (hard) thrice and I was amazed that I didn't notice any fading nor smudging. So I continuously rub the product off and the result was the image above. Impressive! :)
Here's another test with NO WATER involved. I just swatched the product on my warm and rubbed off the product with all my might haha. Result was still impressive as it only faded a little bit and I had to really rub off the product several times before it started to fade.
LONGEVITY
Now on for the longevity. At this point, I would like to apologize as I wasn't able to wear this eyeliner for 24 hrs just to check their claim of a long lasting (24hr) eyeliner. I was only able to wear this for roughly 8 hrs.
2:00 PM- Freshly applied. As you may notice, the end part towards the wing looks a little patchy. I'd say I had a hard time applying this Shawill eyeliner pen since it disperses product on an uneven manner- sometimes one swipe gives a good amount of product and sometimes not so I had to run over the pen several times on my lids which gave me an uneven looking line.
9:45 PM- 15 more minutes to reach the 8th hour of me wearing this eyeliner pen and I noticed that the wing of my liner can no longer be seen. That being said, I can safely say that this Shawill Eyeliner Pen cannot withstand a 24 hr job :)
PS: Apologies for the quality of the image. I have yet to buy better equipment/s to get good image at night. As shown on the first part of this review, this eyeliner pen did well on the smudge and water proof test yet, it didn't last long on my lids. I read an instruction at the back of the packaging which says "to remove the product, an oil based makeup remover should be used" Therefore, my hypothesis is that this product's longevity isn't good for people with oily lids like mine.
FINAL THOUGHTS
See my PROS and CONS below to help you decide whether to try or not to try this Shawill Eyeliner Pen. PRO/S: 1. Affordable 2. Waterproof 3. Dries fairly quick 4. Manufacturing Date and Expiration Date are clearly stated on the packaging which is good especially for products made for the eyes. CON/S: 1. Does not last for 24 hrs as it claims especially if you have oily lids 2. Has a thick tip which may not be friendly for the newbies of eyeliner application. As for me, I won't be re-purchasing this eyeliner from Shawill. For now, I would prefer an eyeliner pen with a slightly thin tip so it would be easier for me to practice.
