Hello, friends! Today's beauty review post is a skincare product from iWhite Korea. If you have been following my blog for quite sometime now, you'll know how I love their Aqua Moisturizer, Facial Wash Whitening Vita, and their 2 Minute Whitening Miracle Wash Off Mask. Now, I will be trying iWhite Korea's fairly new product, their Pore Purifying Balm :)
Before we go to the actual product review, let me give you an idea on my skin condition. As I shared on my Gel Hut Mun (Clear Nose Review), I do have a very problematic skin. Aside from my pimple prone skin and visible wrinkles brought by aging (i'm on my late 20's, by the way), I also have huge pores; dirt's favorite hideout, these dirt cause break out and the cycle just goes on and on (sigh). Thus, there's always a need for me to thoroughly clean my face which of course, includes my pores.
â Anyhow, let's now orient ourselves with this pore purifying balm. As printed on the back part of the product, iWhite Korea Pore Purifying Balm is a great partner product to iWhite Korea Nose Pack & Whitening Pack as it effectively helps loosen up and absorb the stubborn pore clogging oils, dirt, and toxins present in the pores.
PRIZE , WHERE TO GET, AND PACKAGING
iWhite Korea products are readily available in Watsons and 7/11 stores, I got mine from the former. If you're in Cebu, you'll also be able to get your hands on this skin care line from Metro Gaisano and Gaisano South Department Stores. The Pore Purifying Balm is sold for Php 18 per sachet. However, I got mine included in a Saver's Kit along with 2 pcs. of iWhite Korea Nose Pack. This Kit was sold for Php 49.50, that's a saving of Php 4.50 since the nose pack is also sold for Php 18 per sachet. I'm surprisingly good at Math today huh, haha :) â As for the packaging, iWhite Korea maintained their cute way of designing their product's external. The pore purifying balm looks like a teardrop or a droplet with a purple and blue hue :)
CONSISTENCY AND SCENT
As for the consistency, this feels like a semi thick-semi watery cream.
When applied, it will initially look like a thick white cream especially when massaged on to the skin. After a few seconds, it would eventually look clear/transparent. See what I mean below:
Yes, I know I look awful. Today is just one of those bad face and hair day so pardon me :)
â So how's the smell? Well, scent has never been an issue to me for iWhite Korea products :) This pore purifying balm smells pleasant, it actually smells fresh :) â
HOW TO USE IT
By the way, you can also use this product alone. You just have to apply a generous amount of Pore Purifying Balm on the T-zone or areas with enlarged pores and deep seated dirt. Massage for 1-2 Minutes. Wipe off with clean tissue then wash the face.
Here's how I looked like seconds after massaging the pore purifying balm on my face. Let me just share that while I was doing the circular motion, I felt that the product warmed my skin, it felt like I was applying a mentholated muscle pain cream on my face :) I just concluded that it's the balm's way of opening my pores. It's like a steam in cream form, if that makes sense :)
After 1 minute, I re-massaged the product on my face for another 30 seconds and wiped it off with a clean and dry tissue.
I then applied the nose pack not just on my nose but also on the lower part of my forehead, inner cheeks, and chin just because I have whiteheads on those parts as well :) Oh! and it took me around 25 minutes before the nose pack totally dried out.
THE RESULT
Alright, so everyone reading this would want to know if this pore purifying balm works. Well, here's what I got :)
Look at them whiteheads! haha. I must say that the pore purifying balm really helped the nose pack perform way better. I have used iWhite Korea's nose pack before and it didn't work well on me. But, with the Pore Purifying Balm, the nose pack managed to pull out a fair amount of whiteheads from my skin. â
FINAL THOUGHTS
Let me just say that I have an additional favorite product from iWhite Korea :) Their Pore Purifying Balm really unclogs my pores making it easy for me to pull out those hard headed dirt. I have to be honest though that I will not be pairing this again with iWhite Korea's nose pack. Instead, I'm excited to use this with my Gel Hut Mun, I just can't wait to see what this pair can do in cleaning up my face haha :) PRO/S 1. Affordable, period. 2.Truly opens the pores making it easy to harvest MY whiteheads and blackheads :) 3. Smells pleasant 4. A little goes a long way CON/S 1. None :) Questions?
